Post Rugby World Cup in 2011 Red Badge Security realised it had aspirations beyond the event security industry. Consequently, in 2014 came the creation of a new brand – Red Security, as a division of the Red Badge Group. This brand saw Red Badge Group enter the commercial security market leveraging off strong brand recognition and security experience in the events industry. Red Security now sits alongside Red Badge Security and Awesome Events giving the Red Badge Group total capability within the manned security market.
Red Badge Group immediately applied its founding values to protecting people, assets and infrastructure. Utilising our ability to attract great people from the events side of the business Red Security quickly gained a reputation for providing custom built solutions with a structured customer service and safety element, attractive to organisations conscious of reputational protection and needing a systematic approach to their security services.
In the past 6 months Red Security has grown by 320% in Wellington. Red Badge Group Wellington Regional Manager, Dave Patchett says “the continued success and growth comes down to the committed and positive, can do attitude of our staff to all aspects of their jobs”. Now employing over 16 full time people most of which have come from within our very large team of casual staff. Recruiting and promoting from within aligns with the Red Badge Group vision of being best in class at growing and developing our people.
Red Security in Wellington now proudly partner with the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Uber Green Light Hub, Westpac Stadium and very recently the Australian High Commission.
With more work on the horizon the future of Red Security in Wellington is bright.
