The Red Badge Group Board is pleased to announce Ben Wooding as its new Chief Executive Officer. Wooding has been serving as COO for the last 2 years and has been with the group since 2017.
Ben has over 14 years experience in the security industry and is a director and shareholder in the group. He brings to the role a wealth of commercial experience and a successful track record of developing high performing teams.
This appointment reflects the rapid growth trajectory that Red Badge has experienced since the acquisition in 2020. Andy Gollings, previous CEO and now Executive Director says, “We want to focus on retaining what’s special about Red Badge. This move enables me to focus more on our customers and on working with the board to develop our long-term people and market strategies. Ben’s leadership in the CEO role will ensure we can continue to grow sustainably, while providing our clients confidence we will have the right structure, people and disciplines; alongside cutting edge systems and technology to compete in a rapidly changing local and global environment”.
The Red Badge board is confident in the future, with Board Chair Gretchen Weightman saying, “Andy has successfully led the group for the past 21 years including through the change in ownership, the COVID-19 pandemic, recent rebrand and will now be in an outward looking position focused on our customers and strategic direction while working closely with our stakeholders to drive positive change in the industry.”
In addition to these changes, the group have appointed industry expert Tim Lawrence as an advisor to the board. Tim says, “I’ve been impressed with the fresh and vibrant approach of Red Badge and I am particularly looking forward to working alongside the board to develop innovative solutions for our customers.” With over a decade of experience in executive leadership roles at Armourguard Security and more recently running his own hospitality business, Red Badge see the partnership as leverage to enhancing their position as a rapidly growing player in the market. “We are committed to surrounding ourselves with the right people. The experience Tim will share through mentorship of our leadership team and his ability to maximise strategic growth opportunities will further enable our vision for the group,” says Ben.
