We are thrilled to announce our recent contract win with Michael Hill Jeweller, marking an exciting milestone for Red Badge and further solidifying our position as one of New Zealand’s most trusted security providers. Last week, we proudly went live with the contract, serving 31 stores across the country with more store stores to be rolled out over the next few months. Having a high profile and iconic customer like Michael Hill means there is no room for error. Safety and security are at the forefront of their minds, and so ensuring the safety and peace of mind of Michael Hill’s staff and customers is our key priority. Our guarding services compliment Michael Hill’s investment in fog cannons, reinforced doors, improved CCTV and sirens to serve as deterrents to crime.
One of the key factors that led to our selection was our success delivering high profile security services as New Zealand’s leading security provider of retail sites. Building upon our existing security presence in many retail mall sites across the country and our ongoing working relationship with police, we were able to provide a unique and highly protective ‘precinct approach’ to security for Michael Hill. By leveraging off our well-established network of retail guards and shared intelligence, paired with our ability to provide them with real-time visibility and reporting through our technology solutions, we were able to offer an enhanced security proposition that would ensure a safer environment for both staff and customers. This further assists police with higher apprehension rates when incidents do occur.
Our success in securing this contract was further strengthened by our involvement in the NZ Security Round Table initiative, of which Michael Hill is a part of. This group serves as a platform for businesses and industry experts, including police, property owners, operators, retailers, and security providers to come together, share insights, and devise strategies to combat retail crime activities. Working alongside Michael Hill and other stakeholders in this collaborative environment allowed us to better understand their specific needs and tailor our security solutions accordingly.
